[HPFGU-OTChatter] Re: Open Email to Yahoo Feedback

if there's an i hate yahoo group anywhere, i'd be glad to join! as a blind computer user, they are one of the worst sites, just to join a group! They have no audio alternative to the graphic image verification when you join a group. their answer to that is that someone in their supposed customer service will call a blind computer user and help them sign up, but then you have to give them all you information, including your password. After years of fighting it, I finally asked a sighted friend to help me become a registered yahoo person, thinking that would make it easier to access group web pages. well, even to join any group, I still have to deal with the graphical verification, though I am a registered yahoo member now. Unless I join a group by email, but that doesn't always work, because a groups web address isn't always synonymous with their email address. A couple months ago, I wanted to start my own group for the discussion of tolkien, hoping in time it will be a serious discussion group, somewhat like HPforgrownups, though without all the wonderful speculation of what comes next, of course. however, again, though I am a yahoo member, i couldn't form a group without dealing with the graphical verification.

Ok, sorry for the rant! i just can get on my soapbox about them and find their care for customers to be one of the worst I've ever encountered.

sherry

Carolyn:
Isn't this appalling? So why are they even bothering to ask us for
feedback? So they can have a good laugh?

I am going to see what I can do to get this into the business press
in the UK. Once the investor relations people start getting flack,
it's amazing the things that start happening.

Does anyone know of an 'I hate Yahoo site' ? There are plenty of them
for most big corporations these days. Might be another route to get
them to take some notice.

I wonder how many thousands of people there are in the their various
groups worldwide, and how many have complained?
