Hee. When I taught social studies, I once had had all I could take of
poor grammar and spelling from my students. Thus, I created a 10-point
pop quiz and presented it to them. I encountered some initial shock
and a few grumblings, but I, too, am a proponent of the Hadow Report
[though I've never heard of it before :-)], and I explained that they
needed to be able to EXPRESS themselves clearly no matter the
environment in which they find themselves.

I made the quiz quite humorous, and so it wasn't resented too much by
too many. It also lowered my blood pressure and made me feel I'd done
my part to help young people do better. ;-)

SSSusan:
For me it's the addition of an apostrophe where it does not belong.
For instance:

"HPfGU is one of my favorite internet group's."
"That dog is never going to find it's way home."

Grrrrrr.
