Cyndi tries again:
I think I may have started something that was not at all the 
intention of my post.  The unsettling thing about Dan and Rupert 
not "knowing" each other has everything to do with the movie and 
nothing to do with Dan and Rupert as people.  All I intended was to 
express my concern that the screenwriters have altered the story 
lines of SS, CoS, PoA, and now GoF so much that Ron's role had been 
belittled.  That is what I meant.  Sorry to cause a stir.
