Sheryll again:

Actually, Tonks, it was work. Of the volunteer sort.
My friend Alex is a former reigning Mr. Leather
Ottawa-Hull and he was the planner of this event. When
it came to finding volunteers, he naturally chose
people he knew that are involved in the leather
community or involved with Pride. I used to be on
Pride's Board of Directors for a number of years, so
I'm a familiar face in the GLBT community here. I was
tallymaster for last night's competition and it was my
job to total up the judges scores and determine the
winners. :)

Lots of fun, really. And as tallymaster I got a little
thank you - a 2007 HP calendar. Alex is thoughtful
that way, finding the right little gifts for people.

Funny that you should use the words "more than we want
to know". A number of years ago Alex's partner Paul
said I should write a book about my experiences with
Pride and the GLBT community in general. He said I
should call it "More Information Than I Needed to
Know"! Everytime I'm with them and I'm in an unusual
situation, Paul will ask if that's another chapter in
the book. :)

Sheryll, who can't ever say life around here is boring!
