Oh, great. I just replied thanking for the link and missed your post
itself. Ugh. So, I find it fascinating and thank you again :)
I guess my colleague was right - the translation he read was fully
translated in English. I am still confused as to why it could not
have done as Tolstoy did, hehe, namely put English translation in the
footnote.

Erm... it is remarkable that you want to put it back on topic,
hehe :), but just for future reference, you don't have to :-) That is
why off topic list exists, as far as I am concerned ( speaking for
myself only).

LOL, I will acknowledge that there are some lengthy descriptions
there, but the characters, the characters IMO are sooo fascinating.
