Thanks. {g} I've seen the various deals... Heck, I frequently visit
Dealnews.com and this was today's listing alone:
LG Electronics L1930B 19" LCD Monitor w/DVI for $246 after rebate
FujiPlus FP-988D 19" LCD Monitor w/DVI for $200 after rebate
X2gen MG19VT 19" LCD Monitor for $200 after rebate
There are many options available, however, it's the fact the old
monitors still do everything I need of them. I upgrade the towers
because I run out of room or the software require more RAM, a
different OS, etc, but the monitor still does the job and I don't need
to move them. While it would be cool, I can't justify something
that's more into the 'want' spectrum.
I need to retire my all-purpose Gateway from 2000 to light duties
because its system is stalling and slowing down and my Athlon from
2002 does this odd reboot, especially when hooked up to the internet,
which happens rarely but the fact it happens at all bugs me, so I'm
keeping it as an offline editing computer--it was custom built to be
that.
