Just wondering...

I don't like the over emphasis on realism in fiction. It's nice to
have a story be somewhat true to life, but when the main goal is
realism you end up with non-fiction, not entertaining stories. I think
you can write a good book without killing off characters just for the
sake of "realism". Survival can be realistic, too.
I read fiction for entertainment. If I want realism I'll open my
bills :)
Not to be too political, but I also don't like the idea of healthy
young people "dying for a cause". We have enough martyrs in the world
right now; hopefully JKR won't make one of the trio a martyr as well.
