I have heard that too, but have been using a satellite for the last 12
months or so almost exclusively... for internet and recording our free
to air digital & HD television. no probs.

The complaints and groans went like this.

It's too heavy - Of course, look at the size of it

It's too big - but it's got a huge widescreen monitor, what do you expect?

It's too hot - yeah, it's a P4, it's not a palm pilot.

I would be wary of Compaq, they're owned by HP now, which is why
they're awful.
