New HP readers in your life?

I do not have children, but I have heard it said that it is good for
young children to have the HP(or any) books read to them. It helps
them appreciate reading to have that bond with someone who is
reading. I would guess if they were older, say 10 or above they
would read it themselves. Some parents of younger children have
changed the reading a bit when they got to the really bad parts, or
not read them late at night.
Also I know from listening to the CD of the books that it is nice to
hear someone reading the book instead of reading it yourself.
I know a woman who read all of the HP books to an elderly woman who
had gone blind. What a real treasure for the elderly woman to have
that special time with someone every week. And the reader found it
special as well.
