Actually, Tonks, I think it is possible, the way tp do it has changed 
(grumble, I keep telling myself this helps to stave off senility <g>). 
When I am reading a message now, below that message there appears a 
message tree. The message I am reading is highlighted; above it I see 
the messages upthread all the way up to the original post that started 
the thread; and below are the posts in response to the message I am 
reading. So you could just click on the message you want to go to it.
