Hey all,

I've been playing with Yahoo, too, trying to figure out what is going
on with the upthread.  Here is what I found so far:

The "upthread" option does not only show up on Main. I played around
with messages here on Off-topic and it appeared in random messages
from time to time. But not all of them. Similarly, the option does not
appear in *all* messages on Main, as some people clearly are not
seeing it.

The only thing I can say with any certainty is that when you have
clicked on a message, if the "upthread" option *is* there, it
disappears if you sort the thread by date.

The existence of the "upthread" doesn't seem to be related to whether
a message was sent via web or email. I tried checking the URLs for
differences between when it does appear and when it doesn't, but I can
see no rhyme or reason. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it's not.

Unfortunately, I don't see an option for Y!Groups moderators to change
this.
