Hi, Steve. I hate the new improvements, too, and sent a complaint that
I'm sure will be ignored using the means of contacting them that Tonks
suggested. I've found a way to get around the system defaulting to
Topic, reversing the order of the messages to newest first, and not
marking the links as read. I start with the Message Index, read the
message, and hit the back button to return to the Message Index. I
spent a whole day struggling with the new set-up before I discovered
this method. The only time it causes a problem is when I reply to the
message, when I have to hit the Back button about five times before
returning to the Message Index. It's annoying at first, but it becomes
automatic after ten messages or so.
Glad I'm not the only one who hates the new "improvements"!
Carol, who has also managed to lose Quicktime and Norton Anti-Virus
even though they still appear to be installed on her computer and
hopes the problem isn't that she stupidly opened one of those "New
Graphic Site" links to see if it was spam (it was ostensibly from a
list member I correspond with who wouldn't have sent me anything, erm,
"graphic")
