When I first got a computer, I began chatting online and began to
notice that my shop bought computer had flaws, I have not bought one
since.

It's far better to make one from scratch.

This way you can get all the best stuff for it.

A really good motherboard [msi]
a good soundcard [creative labs are fine],
a solidly performing videocard [nvida or ati brand] good memory such
as kingston, pny or micron, speakers - get jbl, bose, harman/kardon or
yamaha and a hard drive like seagate.

You can go to some computer shops where you can order the parts and they
will build it for you.

A lot of the shop bouught branded computers come with software you'd
never really use but pay for, the very cheap models come stuffed with
adware. the worst computers have sound and videocard built right into
the motherboard which leaves no room for an upgrade.

Consider this too.

When you do upgrade later, and you find that your monitor, speakers,
keyboard and mouse still work well... why should you have to buy them
again?

I have carried my monitor etc over from two computer upgrades so far
and that includes the videocard and soundcard from the old machine!

You save money and get better stuff.

Oh, as a side note, I utterly loath printers, they're a massive waste
of money with repairs and ink wastage.
