Kathy, dear how COULD you? How could you not to have something to
say about Snape?
Seriously though I so enjoyed your non-Snape secret-keeping related
posts on Main. ( hint, hint ;))

It is unexpected to me to hear you say it but not for the reason you
would think.
I DO understand attachment to one place, to one city, because that
is how I grew up in Ukraine. People were living in one place pretty
much their whole life, families lived closed by, one went to school,
college, got married, have kids, etc, etc, pretty much in the same
city. Well, of course people could go on vacation, or some unusual
circumstances forced moving, but permanent moving did not occur that
often.
It had many bad moments (like goverment not allowing many people to
go abroad, etc), but living your life in the same city also had some
good moments - you know, friends who were like family, because you
were friends all your life, family close-by and I loved my city (
despite not always having a happy life in Ukraine). It is very old
and SO beatiful.
So, yes, I understand your love of Connecticut, Kathy. :-)
It is just unusual to me because I used to think that most Americans
move so often during their lives and they don't form attachment to
one city or town. I am happy to be proven wrong. :-)

Let me just say again, I am glad you did it then.
