Oh my, oh my, why didn't I think of that *feels very stupid*. Yes, if
RAB took the truble to bring an extra locket to cover his/her tracks,
it only makes sense to refill the basin as well. I wont discard the
transfigured horcrux!note theory yet, but I guess the only argument is
that DD was seemed very sure that the horcrux actually was in the cave.
