The traffic on the main list is heavy, but I find most of it completely worthwhile.
I get the messages in daily digest form and I'm waaaay behind reading. I save them all, and print them out a few at a time and read them at lunch, weekends, etc. I think I'm up to the first week of September, with maybe 160 or so more to go to get caught up - which of course, won't happen because every day there's another 2 or 3 digests.
I rarely (i.e., never) post on the main list, but I especially find the different personalities amusing. There are the ones who are absolutely positively unmoveable objects as it relates to certain issues and others who work very hard never to have to admit they might be in the wrong about an issue. Sometimes, I'm reminded of President Clinton's "It depends what *is* is." And, then, of course, there are the ones who argue with everyone, just to argue.
It's all worthwhile, though, when those very special posts make it through and really cause me to rethink something I thought I already understood.
And....it gives me something to read HP-related to pass the time before HP7 is with us.
