I can't remember who either, but someone in the main
group did predict that Voldemort was hiding his soul
outside his body. Of course, I quickly shot that down as
being totally illogical and unlikely ...surprise
...suprise.

I've invited that person to come forward and toot their
own horn several times, but I'm still not sure who it was.
None the less, it was probably one of the most brilliantly
insightful predictions ever made.

Yes, I argued that points several times, it was the only
thing that really made sense. Snape as good as says that
in the latest books. He said that he was where Voldemort
had ordered him to be, which was Hogwarts.

I also predicted that Ron would be Quidditch Keeper and
that Harry would be Captain, though the rest of that
prediction didn't quite work out. I though Harry would
start out as Captain, but they would have conflicts
about how to run the team, and eventually Harry would
let Ron take over. Can't get them all right.

As to my greatest anti-prediction, when we were predicting
who would die in OotP, I came to the brilliant conclusion
that it would be anyone EXCEPT Sirius Black. I contended
that Harry needed Sirius too much to lose him at this
stage of the game. ...surprise ...suprise.

In making that prediction, I, in a sense, ignore what I
had said only a week before. I made the comment that the
person who would die would be the person who moves from
the silent background into the forefront of the story,
and that certainly fits Sirius. The very fact that I
thought Harry needed Sirius too much should have been
my first clue that he was MOST likely to die.

Note that in the current books, it was Dumbledore that
moved to the forefront of the story, and as a result
died. Keep that in mind as you read the next/final book.
The character that suddenly steps more promenently into
the forefront of Harry's life is the person most likely
to die. I predict, based on that theory, Neville, Luna,
or (I really hope NOT) Ginny. Though, I'm not discounting
Snape or Draco, and I'm keeping an eye on Remus, the last
of the Marauders. Of course, given Harry's current position
on Ginny, she might actually fade slightly from the bulk
of the story, only arriving at the very end, and that might
save her.
