I think it was Lyn Mangiameli (sp.) who predicted the soul outside
the body? Don't know if he's still around.

OK, here's my candidate for the best prediction I ever read
(Cindysphinx):

"So what is JKR to do with all *that*? Well, she has to *weaken*
Dumbledore before she can credibly kill him, doesn't she? She has
to show him becoming weary, worn down, weak. That way, when someone
pushes Dumbledore off of a rickety catwalk into a river of lava, the
reader will *believe it* and won't cry out, 'But wait! Dumbledore
is too *powerful* for that to work!'

"Yeah, Dumbledore is fading all right, but he won't fade straight to
the grave. He's going to get a push from someone – hopefully from a
close and trusted friend." The Captain leans forward, her nose
inches from George's trembling lips. "Bang!" she whispers.

Now, I never predict *anything* with accuracy (pouts), so here's
probably my one and only, in answer to someone's question about why
Dumbledore told Harry the prophecy if he hadn't learned Occlumency:

"I read this part to mean Dumbledore feels Harry is safe from
Voldemort's intrusions now. Perhaps he supects LV will no longer try
to invade Harry's mind again after discovering Harry is 'full of the
force he detests'. DD did say that in the end 'it mattered not that
you could not close your mind' which could very well spell the end
of Occlumency. (all quotes US, chap. 37, p. 844)

Jen, who is banking on a better success rate in Book 7 since she
predicted Snape would die in Book 6 (wishful thinking most likely).
