Hi Dave,
Could it be the song "Sweet Love"  by Anita Baker?  I have Napster 
and found what seems to fit your description.  Actually, as I read 
your post I began hearing that song in my head.  "Love, sweet love. 
Hear me calling out your name...."  Something like that.  It was on 
the R&B section of Napster and I searched the title "Sweet Love".
