Sandy:
I'm not into LOTR -- Haven't read the books or seen the movie(s) and have no
desire to. Guess that's why I don't know who he is.

Sandy:
Yes, I have read that before, about the twinkle that is. I'm almost sure I
saw an interview with Richard Harris where he said that he had read the book(s)
with his grandchildren. Whether he did or didn't doesn't matter to me; I
thought he was the perfect Dumbledore. The only problem I had/have with his
performance as DD is that he is so difficult to hear. I'm sure that had something to
do with his health issues, but you would think something could have been done
to make him more audible. It is so hard to relate that barely audible voice
with the one that belted out the how many minutes long "McArthur's Park" back in
the 60's. Every time I watch the movies I sit with the remote in my hand so I
can adjust the volume every time he speaks. Then again, it could just be my
age causing faulty hearing.
