How we picture characters

Someone on HP for Grownups brought up a discussion of Lavendar Brown,
who is generally pictured in fanfics as a blond Caucasian girl due to
complete lack of description in canon. I always pictured her as a
slender, pale girl with sort of mousy brown hair. According to the
movies, she's black. Who knew? Fanfics had a huge problem with
Blaise Zabini - no one knew he was a boy for the longest time and he
is female in many many fanfics! My question for you is: How have the
movies influenced your view when you read the books? Snape will now
and forever be Alan Rickman when I read the books - I use Rickman's
voice and inflections now when I read. Harry will always be Dan
Radcliff. However, Movie Sirius and Movie Lupin are not even CLOSE to
how I see them in the books, and we won't even discuss Dumbledore.
Movie Hermione was dead-on as a child, but now... not so much. What
movie characters are closest to your book visions and why? Does
ANYONE not think Rickman is the most perfect Snape ever?
