The Ministry of Magic, determined to prevent the rise of yet another
'Dark Lord', has gone to extremes to try to get control of the more
'dangerous' segments of the population. A mandatory Registration Process
is in effect for anyone known or suspected to have Death Eater ties
during the war, if their crimes did not leave them legally incarcerated.
Werewolves, too, are Registered, with strict restrictions on curfew,
wards permitted around residences, bi-weekly Wand Checks to watch for
'illegal' activity and the like. Much of the Wizarding population feels
the Ministry has the right idea, and believes themselves to be 'safer'
knowing that people like Snape, the Malfoys, Lupin's pack of werewolves,
and others are under close Ministry supervision.

Though there are many still at-large who have avoided the Registry
process.

Hogwarts School, Headed by Minerva McGonagall, has just reopened after
reconstruction, and Minerva has announced sweeping changes to the
Sorting System, in an effort to increase inter-house unity and combat
prejudice amongst the students. These changes are being observed with a
critical eye - the Headmistress is already proving almost as eccentric
as her predecessor, hiring known Registrants and Werewolves to teach
children! Minerva McGonagall has planted herself firmly against the
Ministry's institutionalised prejudice.

The 'average Joe' just wants to be left alone, to rebuild their lives,
open their shops, raise their families, and not live in constant fear
anymore! Lucius Malfoy has published a very moving book of his 'Memoirs'
regarding his years as a Ministry Spy, and how deeply grieved he is over
the things he was forced to see and do in this very difficult and
dangerous role. He is slowly, stirring the political cauldron with
ambitions to be the next Minister for Magic - if not the Next Dark Lord.

There are Death Eaters who were not 'caught', though, waiting and
searching for someone to lead them. It has been six months, and they are
becoming reckless in their desperation. Fenrir Greyback makes random
appearances of terror-inspiration, yet has continued to evade capture.

Ministry, Hogwarts, Politics, Criminals - they all combine to leave a
great deal of upheaval, even in 'peace'.

NOT be gay.  We would *prefer* that Draco not be gay as well, but
finding a non-gay Draco seems to be very difficult, so we will consider
gay/bisexual Draco applications.  Draco may not 'ship with or be
'romantically obsessed' with Harry, Ron, or Snape.

We also would love more MWPP-age contemporaries, which means NON-Sue/Stu
Original characters are welcome for this era. We would like Hogwarts
`teachers' for the various vacancies listed on the game, even
though there are no actual students and we will not be playing out
'classes'.

Original adult characters of MWPP era and older are welcome! Join one of
the few SERIOUS CANON games which actively recruits for and allows OC's!
