I did, yes, but I think his name was supposed to be a signal that he 

was not one of the "good guys" in any case, so we weren't meant to be 

concerned.


Now Sue:
I  assumed it was a demonstration that unlike Harry, most were not concerned about the motivations of  the people trying to kill them.  They were acting on the principal that if you are trying to kill me and /or my friends, I am going to try to kill you first.
