I have ordered the book by Amazon UK, and have ordered many books from
them in the past.  It can take about a week to arrive in America, so I
will also be buying an American version to find out what happens...

But I don't think the delay is due to Amazon - they ship quickly -
when I lived in England, I ordered Goblet and OoTP by Amazon, and they
arrived on the release date - our post arrived at 7am, so I was
happy...
