DD here:
thanx(but I was not the one in costume....._and I have several hats
worth well over $300 which I'm always afraid of wearing to public
events in case someone ripped it off my head LOL! (not fashion
hats...but wild and crazy hats I've had made for myself...)...
Hilaire stated:
I made a Minerva costume for myself, but chose a subdued plaid for
my cloak and most people thought I was a regular witch, not a
deputy head mistress. LOL

Doddiemoemoe again:
When doning a costume it's not about what other's think but what you
feel...at these shindigs you have to project said attitude....
A game I play, with myself while waiting in line is to project
certain characters from hogwarts...DD, MM, Hagrid, Snape, Ron etc
etc...now, I receive no awards but I love amusing the folks in line
around me. I also read out loud in line(in the early years I would
read books from the bookshelves around me while I was in line.
However, now, I tend to read Jean Shepherd or something from
the "Little House on the Prarie" series...sad...yet folks should map
out the line in different directions every year a book is
realeased..I always went to the same couple of book stores in my
innocent days.

before 1970, and whose biggest hat is larger than the flag than flys
off her patio...
