Lisa
I am looking to rent the books on CD because I am disabled and cannot afford
to buy them at the retail price!

Is there anyone here that can refer me to a good place, be it a brick and
mortar store or internet site. I just need it to be reasonably priced! $50
a book is more than I can afford.

I have HBP on CD. but would LOVE to have the others also!

Thanks in advance!

Lisa

Sherry now:

Lisa, in what country do you live? I can only speak for the US, but if you
are in the US, are you a subscriber to the national library service for the
blind and physically handicapped, NLS. It's run through the library of
Congress, and is a free reading service for the blind. they have all the HP
books, as well as hundreds of thousands, probably millions of others. There
is also bookshare.org, where for a $50 annual membership fee, a blind or
print handicapped person can download books and read them in either digital
braille or with a screen reader on a computer. if you are in other
countries, I know Canada and England have similar reading programs, and I
would guess most other countries do something. If you are in the US, and
you need more info about these sources, feel free to write me off list. I
am blind and have been using these services, particularly NLS, for most of
my life.

Sherry
