Alla:

I agree with you Ali, I applaud Dan's attempts to play the part that 
sounds so very different from Harry Potter, I really do.

I mean, he does want to act after movies done, yes?

What if in the minds of all directors he would be Harry Potter and 
nobody else?

I think he owes it to himself to show the world that he can play the 
part of different caliber and from what I am reading he did it well.

Just look at the actor who played Luke in original Star Wars. I can 
be wrong, since I did not do the long research, but from what I read 
somewhere, he basically could not get his acting career really going 
after Star Wars?

If this is right, I certainly would not want the same for Dan.
