Totally do… I didn’t go last night… kicking myself a little over that… the
bits I saw on the news looked fun…

I’m excited but scared… I want a happy ending… I want harry to be happy….
I’m waiting on the mailman…but don’t know if I’ll start reading it… for most
of what you said…I enjoy many different types of books…but I’m in love with
Harry Potter’s world. I want to be a part of it…I want it to be real…

Glad to have other adults who are as emotionally vested as I am….

Have a great day!

Subject: [HPFGU-OTChatter] Putting off reading DH because I can't stand to
have it all end

I have the book in front of me, right here, and have not started it
(OK, I read the first page, but that's it). I am too afraid that my
life will change once I read the final book, because I won't have
another book to look forward to. I'm too afraid that the miracles HP
has brought into my life - knowing I'm a part of something, fanfic,
slash, etc. - will go away after everyone reads this book. I know
rationally that HP fanfic will continue to be written for a long time,
and the conventions will probably only grow. Probably it's just
superstition on my part - if I don't read the final book then somehow
I'll stave off the dying-away of the fandom. But here I sit, looking
at it, not knowing when I'll open it up. Does anyone else relate to this?
