bboyminn:
We discussed this back in March and somebody posted
a link to Stephen Fry version of HP.
Here are the two links from that discussion -
Jim Dale reads HP - (Random House)
http://www.randomhouse.com/audio/features/harrypotter/
Stephen Fry reads HP -
http://www.webwords.org/clipinfo.php?id=512
I've heard very good things about Jim Dale, who is
indeed British as I found out in the previous
discussion, and he does have a nice clear voice,
and I think he does narrative very well, but for
me, something seem off about the dialog. I think
I prefer the Stephen Fry versions, but sadly can
afford neither.
The previous discussion -

And just to round things out, the link that started
this discussion -
Borders HP -
http://www.bordersmedia.com/harrypotter/jukebox.asp
I was more impressed with the Jim Dale versions
I heard at Borders than the previous version I
had heard, but am still leaning toward Stephen
Fry, but again, can't afford either.
