Perhaps I'm giving away something I shouldn't, or perhaps
the rules have changed, but I always keep a spare Yahoo
username in the wings.

I've had several usernames disappear from Yahoo, so now
I have a back up, if my primary should vanish, I go to
the back up, create a new Yahoo username, and subscribe
to all the groups. Then I use the back up for 30 days
until the new name is dropped from Mod status. Sounds
like that won't work any more though.

Still, always nice to have a back up. The back up user
name has been subscribed for many years now.
