Geoff:
I'm not so sure about a laugh... I groaned at the punch line. It's
almost as bad as some of the jokes I used to inflict on my pupils.

The rumbling you can hear is probably Robbie turning in his grave...

"Rictus" is defined in my dictionary as having a fixed grin - which 
rather describes how Tony often seems to appear in public.

And, of course, Edinburgh being "Auld Reekie" and also the current 
home of a well-known writer who holds the fate of a certain young 
guy called Harry in her hands, reminds me of Grimmauld Place.
