If you want a really humorous British-to-american dictionary (which,
unfortunately, doesn't include "pancake"), try this link:

Just about any definition will amuse you, including the cross
references. Some of the definitions are tongue in cheek, though, like
the one that claims that haggis is made from an animal of the same
name which is nearly extinct and advises American tourists to ask
about the poor animal when they're in Scotland. Er, I think that might
be inadvisable!
