The key for me to Umbridge NOT being Thatcher is that Maggie never
bothered playing around with that cutsie feminine image but ruled
with a rod of iron (or a handbag) from day one. And if we're speaking
Spitting Image, the best depiction of that was the restaurant scene
with Thatcher and cabinet out to dinner. As Thatcher orders her steak
the waitress enquires, 'And the vegeatables?' To which Thatcher
responds, 'Oh they'll have the same as me.'
