Magpie:
Just to add my own vote: As an American I like milk in my tea 
absolutely--no lemon for me. That's the way I've always had it (with 
so much milk my mother has been known to call mine "nursery tea" but 
she drinks it with milk too). I put my tea in first, and my jam 
before my clotted cream.

And I've never had coffee in my life.:-)
