Yep, I meant LAX, sorry about not specifying.

I'll be using public transit, so I'll try giving this area a shot.
Thanks!  I believe I should be able to buy bus passes at one of the
airport terminals.  I've got three days, before flying on Thursday, to
plan out how I'll 'attack LA'. {g}

Huh, I think I remember that from my childhood ('cigar band'
particularly stands out) but I haven't been much of a Japanese candy
eater for the past couple decades.  I don't remember if I've seen them
recently around here.  I remember my favorite were these pink/green
candies with a white cat on them... this is going back to when I was
in elementary school.  I used to attempt to peel off the thin rice
paper, which is edible and dissolves. {g}
