Just a couple of nitpicks:

This isn't representative of most people I know who argue that "lgbt
families are a threat to the traditional family". Typically, those
people consider those issues to be even *more* pressing and troubling
than lgbt families. But because they aren't being controversial when
holding this position, it is often not mentioned as an important part
of their beliefs and/or work.

Oh O_O ! So *this* is why using the term homosexual is supposedly
offensive!? Nobody ever mentioned it to me. In fact, I was told
several times that *not* using "homosexual" was wrong, so now I'm
confused. Especially since for me "homosexual" doesn't mean "really
sexual" anymore than "heterosexual" does. To me, it's really just a
description of what type of sexuality people have, not of how much or
often they have sex.
