For pretty well all UK English speakers...
Harry rhymes with carry, marry, Barry, Larry
Hairy rhymes with dairy, fairy, Mary
In Brit terms, no contest.

Well, if you can pronounce 'serious' you're only shifting 'see' to 'si'.....
