Magpie:
I've never heard "diarize" but burglarize and hospitalize are both 
words I've heard my whole life and sound completely normal to me. (As 
does "hospitalization" though I've never heard burglarization.) And 
of course the 40s classic "moiderize" as in "I'll moiderize ya!"
