Seriously.

I personally believe it is the most beautiful city in the UK. As a 
teenager, I used to visit an aunt and her family who lived six miles 
outside York.

I would take the early bus into the city and spend the entire day 
just wandering around.

If you do visit, make sure you take two or three hours out just to 
walk round the city walls. you won't regret it.

Then, there's the Castle Museum. the National Railway Museum,
the Minster and the Jorvik exhibition just for starters.....
