Carol:
thanks for the information on the inventor of the automobil; I'd have
put the "right" answer and been wrong. But not all teachers are
"stubborn and unyielding." Some of us, maybe, some of the time.

Carol, speaking as a former college English teacher who has had both
excellent and horrible teachers in her time
