Magpie:
I'm tempted to say that lately it has because summer now lasts until
practically November.:-(
But mostly they go together--it's true you're more likely to talk
about how much snow one used to get than what time the sun used to
rise because it's regular. You don't get freak early sunrises but you
do get freak snowstorms that you'll remember for a long time. But,
like, when I think of summer the weather is connected to how the
light goes--which includes daylight savings for me (I mean, the clock
moving is just a number; it's more just when you wake up, when you do
what and when you go to sleep).
So basically it's that the two things go together. I can't imagine
crisp Fall days with late sunsets, for instance. But when I think of
the things I notice most about different seasons it's probably a toss
between what twilight looks like/when it comes and the smell of the
air.
