Carol responds:

Thanks, Tonks. That link has expired, but I found the fake titles by
going to the main page, http://tess2.uspto.gov/ , clicking Trademarks,
and, IIRC, clicking Search. I printed the page for future reference.
Too bad we didn't get "Harry Potter and the Mudblood Revolt," but, of
course, JKR wouldn't have used that phrase. I also liked "Harry Potter
and the Hogwarts Hallows," which is nicely alliterative and would have
given us more of dear old Hogwarts.

I also did a search (I forget from what page) to see a list of
trademarks registered to Warner Bros. Oddly, Ron Weasley, Scabbers,
Gilderoy Lockhart, Hogwarts, and a few other names were listed, but
most of the characters, including Severus Snape and Voldemort, were not.

Carol, as ever puzzled by the workings of government and big business
