Thanks. I'm also a fan of "Jane Eyre" and taught it in several
second-semester composition classes in the 1980s and '90s. I'll have a
look at "Wide Sargasso Sea" next time I'm in a bookstore. (I'm not
really interested in the film, only the book at this point.)
