Ali you said a lot of what I was thinking when I posted that. As a 
mom, I'd want something easy... too cook, travel, and serve. Plus 
something the other kids aren't going to be afraid to try (or spit out 
when they do).
As for golden syrup, I actually have a can on my counter! Some 
supermarkets *do* carry Lyle's in the little green can. Look for it 
next to the molasses and corn syrup.
