Carol responds:
Sorry. I was providing a facetious reason for excluding Shakespeare
from the reading list (it's not fiction; it's drama and/or poetry).
In case it wasn't clear, I think that everyone, especially those from
English-speaking countries, should be familiar with Shakespeare, both
in written form and (for the plays) in performance.
BTW, I watched "Driving Lessons" this weekend and was surprised to
find it full of Shakespeare quotations. I need to watch it again with
subtitles, though, to catch them all.
