Oh I agree that Lymond is nicer, although I would say that he is quite 
sarcastic, but I do not remember him disparaging kittens and children.

I think he reminds me of Snape in a sense of his loyalties being a 
question mark till the end.

I have not read The House of Niccolo, but it is definitely on my 
reading list :)
