Potioncat:
To be fair, we were taught to vary our sentence structure/length--but we were discouraged from very long, complex sentences. I'm speaking specifically about college. I think we actually wrote longer sentences in high school, which is probably where I read Faulkner. I enjoyed his books!---now I'm wondering if I still would since no one else here seems to.
