I'm not RC, but I was when I was young.

Theresa is the little flower, the French one. And Teresa (without the
h) is the Italian one, from Avila. The second is also one of only 2
women who are given the title "Doctor of the Church". Teresa worked
closely with St. John of the Cross, also a Doctor of the Church. Their
speciality was Mystical Theology, which is a special interest of mine
as well.
