LOTR the movie made me read the book! Twice in my life I tried to read
LOTR, but couldn't get through the first pages - once when I was about
12 (it was in the same book with "The Hobbit" that I was reading
then), and once a few years later.
Then I watched the first LOTR movie and the next day I was reading the
book past the first pages :-)! I liked the charadidn't wcters, I was
intrigued by the plot, and as a result I couldn't any longer wait for
the second film to find out what happens next - I needed to know "now"
:-).
Besides, I had an argument with my husband about Gandalf, he was
saying Gandalf was coming back, and I was saying he wasn't - of course
I wanted to know who is right :-)! Anyway, I haven't become Tolkien's
fan (I think his language is not for foreigners :-)), but I'm glad I
finally read the book!
