Redemption of Anakin and other redemption stories (moved from Main)

Oh, no no Kemper please do not worry! Films were out a LONG time ago, I had seen the first one and second one, and it was my own choice not to see the third one, no problem at all.

But yes, to me based on the original movies alone Anakin was redeemed. I sort of trusted Luke when he said he feels struggle between good and evil in his mind and to me it was very satisfactory resolved.
